A monumental vintage chinoiserie-inspired ceramic table lamp distinguished by its architectural lantern form, illuminated body and exceptionally expressive timeworn finish.

Unlike a conventional bulbous vase lamp, this impressive example has a tall cylindrical body constructed with raised geometric latticework over warm cream-colored translucent panels. Strong vertical ribs divide the individual sections, while circular raised medallions introduce depth and rhythm around the body. Substantial stepped shoulders, a dark recessed upper band and a broad circular foot give the lamp a formal, almost architectural presence.

The ceramic surface retains a richly layered vintage finish combining dark aged bronze, antique brass and rubbed gold. Portions of the original surface have naturally worn to reveal a striking burnt-orange or terracotta underfinish, particularly along selected ribs, lattice bars and medallions. This variation is intentionally preserved: every side presents a slightly different balance of bronze, gold, darkened recesses and warm orange undertones.

The unusual secondary light housed within the ceramic body softly illuminates the cream panels behind the raised latticework. The lamp offers three selectable lighting configurations:

The ceramic body retains an intentionally weathered bronze, antique-brass and aged-gold decorative finish. Areas of rubbing, darkened patination, finish loss and exposed burnt-orange or terracotta undercolor are visible and vary considerably from one side to another. These irregularities are part of the lamp’s authentic vintage character and are particularly attractive across the raised latticework, vertical ribs, circular medallions, stepped shoulders and broad base.

The finish has not been homogenized, overpainted or polished to resemble a newly manufactured lamp. No artificial green verdigris has been added.

The raised ceramic lattice, structural ribs and primary architectural components appear intact. The cream-colored interior panels remain in place and illuminate warmly when the internal light is engaged.
