Made from two leather bound volumes with the addition of wood spines and base. The interior with marbled paper. The books used are volumes 1 and II "The Ambassador and His Functions" (L'ambassadeur et ses Fonctions), a seminal 1682 treatise on diplomacy written by the Dutch diplomat and historian Abraham de Wicquefort. Measures 9 3/4" tall x 9 1/4" x 8 3/8". Good condition - wear and loss to leather with scuffs and scratches from age. Presents well. A useful catchall at the desk. See less
