A student of kaare klint, he is responsible for some of the most important designs in scandinavian design, such as the "spanish chair" (1958), the "people's chair" (1947), and the "bm1 chair" (1958) offered here. Mogensen's work is characterized by functionality, minimalism, and comfort. A consistent principle of his work is to express an appreciation for traditional craftsmanship using high-quality, natural materials. The four chairs offered here are made of solid oak and upholstered with paper cord. The frames are in good condition. The weave is free of damage but shows some signs of wear. All four chairs bear the original manufacturer's stamp on the underside. This piece has an attribution mark,
