A highly sought-after model … Read more Elegant mid-century modern round dining table produced by Drevotvar in the former Czechoslovakia during the 1960s-70s. A highly sought-after model that combines Scandinavian simplicity with organic-modern form.

The table features a round top with a beautiful, natural wood grain pattern, resting on a sculptural, turned solid wood column and a heavy tulip base in anthracite. The contrast between the warm, natural wood and the dark base creates a refined and timeless aesthetic, reminiscent of Eero Saarinen-inspired designs but with a warm, wooden touch.

The table has undergone a full, professional restoration. The top has been refinished with hardwax oil, creating a pleasant, soft-matte, natural to the touch surface that is more durable and much easier to maintain and spot-repair than traditional lacquer. The turned pedestal has been cleaned and oiled. The heavy metal tulip base has been professionally repainted in anthracite. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
