This … Read more Wonderful and highly architectural Mid-Century umbrella stand crafted in a refined combination of black lacquered iron and solid brass. This elegant piece was hand-crafted in Italy during the 1950s, and its stylish design clearly recalls the mastery of Gio Ponti. Entirely original and in very good vintage condition, the brass has a charming warm golden patina that has been left unpolished to preserve its charm and authenticity. The structure is composed of alternating black lacquered iron and brass slats, creating a striking geometric rhythm and contrast. The removable solid brass drip tray at the base is finely hammered. A highly decorative and stylish piece. The restrained palette of black and warm brass gives the piece a timeless sophistication, making it equally suitable for a Mid-Century, Modernist, or contemporary interior.
