In the center, a female figure draped in white and red appears amidst a procession of deities, nymphs, and fantastical beings.

To the left, a group of figures dressed in 17th-century European fashion, including a man in black, seem to witness this apparition.

This composition can be compared to depictions of the Nereid Galatea, the most famous of which is Raphael's for the Villa Farnesina.

This oil on canvas shows signs of old restorations and overpainting but has not been relined.

The 19th-century gilt frame is a reused piece (not its original frame) and has also been restored.
