The front legs are turned and cut with carved facets, set on squared blocks and block feet. They rise to domed oak arm caps on square plinths. The upholstered arm pads are finished with a row of brass-tone nailheads.

The rear uprights are cut from wide oak boards, scrolled at the top and flared at the foot. Between them, an open back of vertical oak slats supports the lightly button-tufted back cushion. A scalloped apron runs beneath the seat.

The chairs are broad and low, with a deep seat. The carved frames combine Scandinavian Modern proportions with a Brutalist, farmhouse weight. A generous and well-matched pair. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
