This beautiful late 19th-century bobbin-turned wood armchair features a rush seat and three sturdy legs. Likely manufactured in The Netherlands. Originally designed as a knitting chair, its slanted handrails were thoughtfully crafted to prevent “knitter’s elbow” by allowing users to extend their arms comfortably while knitting for long periods. With the turned handrails, this is a very decorative piece displaying a beautifully aged patina.
