Pair of Mid century walnut dining chair designed by Bertha Schaefer for Singer & Sons (the original labels are missing). The chairs are in very good original condition. The seats were just rewebbed and reupholstered in a spice colored velvet. One of the most stunning examples of mid-century design. They are both beautiful and comfortable.
Singer and Sons manufactured these chairs in Italy and used the finest craftsmen.
We have 6 more of these chairs in a separate listing. Those chairs have spice colored original leather seats (complete with all the original labels). If you purchased both sets you'd have a rare set of 8 chairs. We upholstered these 2 chairs in a velvet that is a close color match to the 6 chairs with leather seats.
