A striking signed Guido Gambone vase, where disciplined geometry meets the unmistakable warmth of the handmade.
Its softly rounded form is wrapped in a hand painted grid of deep aubergine brown over an ivory crackle glaze. The lines are irregular, tactile, and beautifully human, giving the piece both graphic strength and quiet movement.
A distinctive example of mid century Italian ceramics for a home that values character over perfection.
Mid-Century Modern ceramic work by the prominent Italian ceramist Guido Gambone (1909–1969).
Gambone is recognized as a highly influential figure for subsequent generations of ceramicists, and his works from the 1950s and 60s are now highly sought after by collectors.
Signed Guido Gambone, Italy on the base.
