An oversized round lounge chair by Carson's Inc. of High Point, North Carolina, with a sculptural postmodern silhouette, made in the year 2000. The low, continuous back curves around a deep circular seat, giving room for one person to curl up or two to sit together. The tiger-stripe upholstery in orange, black, tan, and rust brings a Hollywood Regency glamour to the soft, rounded shape. It comes with two matching throw pillows.
Carson's is a High Point upholstery maker founded by Carson Stout, a former mayor of High Point, in the heart of North Carolina's furniture belt. The company became known for contemporary upholstered seating.
