Late 9th-early 11th century AD. Gilt bronze, size 10 ¾. 5.0mm width band with low rounded face. Made with a core filling the inside which distributed the flowing metal and allowed for slower cooling. The core was then laboriously removed by hand and the inside of the ring polished. Remnants of the core are clear inside the ring.
Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored. See the reference image which shows the process. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
