This is a vintage reproduction by Editions D'Art De Rambouillet dated January 1995. It is a linen, wool and cotton blend meticulously made in France in the
"heydays" of Rambouillet before they were acquired and became WallFlor. Depicts an historical 17th century Belgian master work (Grotesque Aout) preserved in the imperial collection at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, Austria.
It is approximately 86" by 137" and has 13 original sturdy metal hangers. I bought this in the late 1990's from ABO carpet in NYC. The certificate of authenticity- numbered and signed is preserved separately as it detached after hanging in my home for more than 25 years. The tapestry was then kept in temperature controlled storage.
As that label was affixed by glue to the lining of the tapestry; I bought archival quality glue but never reattached it.
Also it does not have a one inch depth/ it is 2 layers of fabric but the system would not allow me to put a zero or less than one in that field.
