A magnificent and monumental vintage Chinese seated Guanyin (Bodhisattva of Compassion) statue, sourced from a private collection. Standing at an impressive 67 cm (26.4 inches) tall, this piece is a breathtaking example of intricate cloisonné enamel craftsmanship.
The Guanyin is masterfully cast in solid bronze, featuring a serene and meditative facial expression. She is adorned in a breathtaking robe entirely covered in vibrant, multi-colored cloisonné enamel, featuring intricate scrolling lotus and floral motifs in hues of yellow, red, turquoise, and green. Her hands gracefully hold a small vase (symbolizing the pouring of divine nectar), and she is seated in a meditative pose upon an elaborately detailed double-lotus pedestal with deep, swirling wave patterns at the base.
This large-scale, museum-quality piece carries a beautiful, natural age-related patina on the exposed bronze. It is a powerful statement piece that brings an aura of peace and spiritual elegance. Perfect for a meditation room, grand entryway, or as a striking focal point in a luxury interior.
