Rectangular mirror with a black-painted steel frame, punctuated by thin vertical elements of varying lengths. Ettore Sottsass for Santambrogio & De Berti, Italy, 1958.
Designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1958 for Santambrogio & De Berti, the mirror features a rectangular surface supported by a black-painted steel frame. A sequence of thin vertical elements, extending beyond the mirror at the top and bottom, transforms the structure into an irregularly rhythmic graphic motif. This model is part of Sottsass's research on mirrors in the late 1950s, also documented in Domus no. 339 of February 1958, in which materials and support systems became an integral part of the design. The mirror surface shows some signs of aging, consistent with the piece's age. Good condition. May show signs of aging. This piece has an attribution mark,
