The substantial circular top features a large cross-section of a mature tree, revealing a remarkable pattern of concentric growth rings. Natural radial cracks extend from its centre, showing a warm reddish-brown colour. A very simple yet monumental design with a beautifully understated character. The monumental tabletop rests on three short, subtly tapered legs in solid oak, creating a striking contrast between the visual weight of the top and the lightness of the legs. Its remarkably simple construction allows the natural material to take centre stage with the growth rings, variations in colour and traces of time becoming an integral part of the design. with its low proportions and almost archaic simplicity, the table hoovers between being organic modernist furniture and a primitive sculpture. A unique and imposing piece. See less
