Impressive oversized table lamp from the 1970s, featuring a striking architectural design with a cylindrical cork-covered base resting on a square metal plinth.
The lamp retains its original, generously proportioned tapered shade, also finished in natural cork. The warm, earthy texture of the material contrasts beautifully with the clean geometric lines and subtle metal detailing, creating a sophisticated and timeless composition.
Standing approximately one meter tall, this substantial piece has a strong sculptural presence. Its design is reminiscent of the work of Ingo Maurer and Wilhelm Zanoth for Design M during the 1970s, although the maker remains unconfirmed.
A distinctive example of 1970s lighting design, combining natural materials with bold proportions. An exceptional statement piece for a sideboard, console or refined contemporary interior. In general good vintage condition with only minor traces of use.
