Theodore Alexander is the manufacturer of this piece. The connection makes perfect sense, as the company was founded in 1996 by Paul Maitland-Smith, an English antiques dealer known for luxury, high-end reproduction furniture utilizing complex parquetry, veneers, and mixed-media accents like stone or shell.
This specific piece is styled as a cocktail or coffee table chest, utilizing their signature high-gloss geometric sunburst veneer top combined with a decorative multi-tile or inlaid apron.
Theodore Alexander pieces from this era frequently feature hidden storage drawers seamlessly integrated into the paneled designs.
