This is a finely crafted, vintage Tibetan Buddhist statue of Green Tara (Sgrol-ma), handcrafted from copper and finished with intricate polychrome painting and gilding.
The figure is depicted in the classic "lalitasana" (royal ease) posture, with her right leg extended and resting on a small lotus pedestal, while her left leg is drawn up. Her right hand is extended in the varada mudra (gesture of generosity), and her left hand holds the stem of a blue utpala (night lotus) flower that blossoms near her shoulder. She wears an elaborate, multi-pointed crown and a detailed necklace, both richly inlaid with colorful faux gemstones in red and green. Her robes are painted with a mosaic pattern in striking red and turquoise, contrasting with the bright gold of her skin and the heavily gilded base. The back of the statue is also fully finished, featuring a visvavajra (double vajra) emblem on the red base. This piece would make a beautiful addition to a spiritual space, altar, or as a unique decorative accent.

The painted surface and gilding are largely intact, showing a natural patina and minor wear consistent with age and handling. The gemstone inlays appear complete. There is some wear to the gilding on the high points, exposing the copper base, which is typical for pieces of this age. Please refer to all photos for detailed condition. less
