The … Read more A pair of lounge armchairs produced by Jitona Soběslav, one of the principal Czechoslovak furniture manufacturers of the period. The design is characteristic of the 1960s: a trapezoidal backrest, wedge-shaped open armrests set away from the frame, and slender tapered legs that give the chairs a light, floating stance despite their generous proportions.

Upholstered in the original ribbed chenille in a warm sand tone. The solid wood elements have been refinished in matt black. This piece has an attribution mark,
