This beautifully serene sculpture depicts Guanyin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, seated in the lotus position upon a striking double-lotus pedestal.
The figure features a brightly gilded face and exposed chest, adorned with an intricate beaded necklace and an ornate crown containing a small figure of Amitabha. Her right hand is elegantly raised, delicately holding a green willow branch—a traditional symbol of healing and purification—while her left hand rests in her lap holding a small vase.
The flowing robes are vividly painted in rich blue and deep red, contrasting beautifully with the gold. The red lotus petals and gilded base add a vibrant, textured finish.
This vibrant and peaceful piece is a magnificent focal point for a meditation space or a refined collection of Asian art.
