About This Rug:
This one-of-a-kind Christmas stocking is cut from an authentic vintage Turkish rug and carries the soft, faded palette of the original weave. A generous sage green field, softly worn so the fine weave shows through, flows down to a cream medallion at the heel and toe decorated with raspberry pink flowers, scrolling tendrils and navy accents, while a small corner of the original cream border with dark brown motifs peeks out at the top edge. The low, hand-trimmed pile shows the hand-knotted structure beneath and gives the piece a gentle, lived-in charm. Each piece is cut from a different rug, so the stocking you receive has its own individual character.
