ABOUT THIS STOCKING
This one-of-a-kind Christmas stocking was handmade by SFA Trading from a genuine vintage Turkish wool rug, hand-knotted in Isparta circa the 1970s-1980s. Rather than let a worn or leftover rug piece go to waste, we cut and shaped it into a stocking, finishing the edge securely and adding a sturdy hanging loop. The faded floral pattern in cream, sage green, and brown gives it a one-of-a-kind boho character no mass-produced stocking can match.

THE STORY BEHIND THIS RUG
The wool this stocking was made from was woven by hand - not in a factory, but on a loom in a village in Anatolia. Turkish women wove these rugs to furnish their homes or support their families, each pattern chosen by the weaver herself. No two rugs are ever identical.
We source these rugs from old homes and private collectors across Turkey, where many have rested for decades. When a rug is too worn or damaged to sell whole, we give it new life by hand-cutting and finishing pieces like this stocking, so its history and craftsmanship continue in a new form.
What you receive is a one-of-a-kind textile that survived decades and was made by someone's hands. You will never find another exactly like it.
