A beautiful early 20th-century English blue-and-white transferware jardinière attributed to Globe Pottery Co. Ltd. of Staffordshire, England, featuring an intricately detailed pastoral landscape and an elegant, sculptural silhouette.
The generously rounded vessel is decorated with a romantic English countryside scene, complete with charming cottages, towering trees, figures on horseback, and lush foliage, rendered in varying shades of cobalt blue against a soft white ground. Delicate floral patterns adorn the scalloped rim, gracefully curved handles, and reverse, creating a wonderfully detailed composition from every angle.
Founded in 1914 in Cobridge, Staffordshire, Globe Pottery Co. Ltd. was part of England's celebrated pottery-making tradition. The underside bears a blue crowned-globe backstamp associated with the manufacturer, reflecting the piece's early 20th-century origins.
With its lustrous glazed finish, rich blue decoration, and timeless English country house appeal, this jardinière is a wonderful decorative accent for a traditional or collected interior. Beautiful displayed as a centerpiece, decorative planter with a protective liner, or standalone statement piece on a console or mantel.
