This coordinated duo features a deep cobalt blue box and a vibrant crimson red box. Each lid showcases a beautifully detailed, hand-painted rendering of the historic "Original Teddy Bear" from 1903, which rests in the Smithsonian’s permanent collection. Designed as pocket or vanity pill boxes, both pieces feature a secure brass screw-top lid mechanism rather than a standard hinge, allowing for secure travel or tabletop display. The undersides are cleanly marked with the authentic cursive "S" Smithsonian sunburst hallmark of the late 20th century.
