This vibrant vintage cylindrical vessel is a classic Chinese brush pot (Bitong), expertly crafted using the traditional cloisonné enamel technique. The piece features a striking sky-blue ground heavily decorated with intricate wire inlay. The design showcases two graceful, flying red-crowned cranes amidst stylized white scrolling clouds. In the center is a prominent red Chinese character "Shou" (寿), symbolizing longevity and good fortune. The vibrant enamel is beautifully framed by thick, dark wood-toned metal rims at the top and bottom. Weighing over 3.5 pounds, this substantial and colorful object is perfect for organizing artist paintbrushes or pens on a desk, or serving as a stunning, cultural accent piece on a bookshelf or console table.
