A pencil signed and numbered limited edition print of Jim Daly's "All Aboard," released by Mill Pond Press in December 1994. A curly-haired little girl in a white pinafore rides a black toy locomotive across a woven rug, holding two teddy bears while a stuffed rabbit sits at the front of the train. On the card that comes with the print, Daly explains that the three animals belong to his wife and had been after him to paint them together, so he let them ride along with Olivia, the girl in the painting.
Offset lithograph printed by Litho-Krome Company on acid-free, pH neutral coated paper, published from Daly's 1994 oil painting on canvas. Pencil signed "Jim Daly" at lower right and numbered 331/950 at lower left, with the plate signature "Jim Daly © 1994" in the image. The margin carries the title and the line "Published from an oil painting." The edition was 950 signed and numbered prints plus 76 artist's proofs.
Jim Daly was born in 1940 in Holdenville, Oklahoma, and studied at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. He is known for his American genre paintings of children and everyday life, and Mill Pond Press and The Greenwich Workshop published his work as limited edition prints for more than 30 years. U.S. Art magazine named him to its Hall of Fame in 1992.
Comes with the original Mill Pond Press folder with its gold seal and edition label, the certificate of authenticity and Daly's card about the painting.
