Measuring approximately 15 × 15 × 8 cm, the piece features a striking geometric construction with a deep cobalt-blue central bowl surrounded by contrasting amber glass and an outer layer of clear crystal. This layered effect is characteristic of the traditional Venetian sommerso technique, in which different colours of molten glass are encased within successive transparent layers. The exterior has been carefully cut and polished into angular, faceted surfaces that create distinctive optical reflections and emphasise the contrast between the blue, amber, and clear glass. Its sculptural form and substantial proportions are particularly associated with mid-century Murano production, especially designs produced by workshops such as Mandruzzato, Campanella, and other Venetian glassmakers.
