Antique (late 18th century) longcase clock by the Dutch firm, Rutgerus van Meurs (17381800) with a beautiful burr walnut veneer with fruitwood string inlay, and gilt bronze mounts including openwork medallion of Father Time, with finely engraved and silvered face with apertures for day of the week, hour and moonphase, engraved with figures, and signature, Rutgerus Van Meurs Amsteldam.
