A deliciously delightful celebration of midcentury American advertising!
Created in the Interior Elements workroom, this wonderfully exuberant collage brings together nearly 50 original circa-1950 advertising die cuts featuring an irresistible assortment of ice cream sundaes, parfaits, whipped cream, cherries, and fanciful frozen desserts.
Originally produced for display in restaurants, ice cream parlors, and retail establishments, these colorful illustrations were designed to catch the eye, decorate the walls, and, of course, tempt the appetite!
Today, their cheerful colors, extravagant presentations, and nostalgic charm make them wonderful examples of midcentury commercial illustration.
Carefully arranged into one lively composition, individual die cuts overlap and mingle, creating an almost endless assortment of sweet discoveries. Most are different, with variations in size and design adding to the visual excitement.
Measuring an impressive 19 × 35 inches, this one-of-a-kind collage is surrounded by a soft red frame that beautifully complements the strawberries, cherries, and rosy tones throughout the artwork.
