An exceptional late 19th-century French Majolica (barbotine) cabinet or dessert plate, masterfully crafted by the historic pottery manufacturer Sarreguemines.
This beautiful Art Nouveau piece features an intricately molded, high-relief center design showcasing rich green grape leaves on twisting brown vines, complemented by small clusters of pinkish-purple grapes. The central relief is set against a warm, buttery-cream glaze that radiates outwards toward a beautifully scalloped rim. The edge is beautifully defined with a vibrant teal-green gradient border, emphasizing the plate’s structured panels.
