The six-sided form offers both visual interest and a comfortable grip for pouring. The geometric shape has been achieved through mold-blown and hand-cut techniques.

Decanters like this were designed to hold and serve wine or spirits, preserving their quality while adding an element of refinement to the table. The hexagonal shape not only enhanced aesthetics but also helped prevent rolling when laid on its side during storage. Whether American or European in origin, this piece embodies the elegance and craftsmanship of its time and remains a desirable collectible for those who appreciate historical glassware.
