A vintage designer chandelier with a striking visual presence, crafted from transparent Murano glass with an ice-like finish.
The structure consists of numerous rectangular panels of thick glass, hand-blown and hand-shaped to create an ice-like effect, arranged on multiple levels in an irregular, sculptural pattern. The panels—transparent with subtle smoky hues and blue edges—overlap to create a play of volumes and transparencies that shifts with every angle.
The central metal frame supports the panels and houses multiple light sources, as seen in the detail shot from below. The fabric cord and cylindrical metal ceiling rose complete the original design of the era.
By day, it is a glass sculpture that captures natural light; when lit, it becomes a warm prism with smoky and blue reflections projected onto the walls. It is an iconic piece of Mid-Century Italian design.
