A richly figured Empire-style chest featuring three full-width drawers beneath a raised pair of smaller glove drawers. Dramatic flame-pattern mahogany veneer, a gently curved upper drawer front, shaped front supports, and bracket feet give the piece a distinctive architectural presence.
Faceted clear glass knobs complement the warm reddish-brown finish, while brass-toned keyhole escutcheons accent the three main drawers. Paneled sides complete the design.
A handsome storage piece for a bedroom, entryway, or living space, with room on top for a lamp and decorative objects.
Maker, exact age, and country of origin are unknown. Decorative accessories shown in photographs are not included.
