This unusual and highly decorative vintage padlock is crafted from brass and shaped like a stylized owl. The front of the lock features an intricate, incised design depicting the owl's face with large, concentric circular eyes, a central beak, and a body textured with a repeating diamond or scale pattern. The back of the lock features a different, all-over geometric diamond pattern. A thick, U-shaped metal shackle extends from the top. Attached to the shackle by a wire loop are two ornate, matching brass keys with elaborately pierced and scrolling bows. The metal has a warm, aged patina with lighter golden highlights on the engraved details.
