An extremely rare and beautiful battery-operated Mid-Century Modern wall clock.
Manufactured by Peter, in Germany. It is very difficult to find one in such good, original condition.
The casing is made of glazed ceramic in turquoise and white.
It features a domed, hinged real-glass cover over the dial.
The clock is battery-operated, utilizing its original electro-mechanical movement: the battery powers a small motor that winds a spring, which in turn drives the clock mechanism.
Additionally, it includes a mechanical kitchen timer that can be set for up to 60 minutes.
A quintessential 1950s design.
100% original condition. Fully functional with an accurate movement.
I have tested it extensively, and it keeps time precisely.
There is no damage to the clock, save for a small chip on the back (at the top), which is not visible from the front. The glaze remains in perfect condition.
The glass cover is clean, free of scratches, and undamaged.
Note: The bell for the kitchen timer rings only very briefly.
Excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of wear and a light patina.
Highly decorative and suitable for any room in the home.
