Swedish birch chest of drawers from the 1950s, with three lockable drawers, metal bracket handles, and tapered, splayed legs.
Swedish chest of drawers from the mid-20th century, veneered in birch with a luminous, iridescent grain, a wood type very common in Nordic furniture of the period. The top has rounded front corners and a soft edge that flows into the sides. The three drawers, each with a keyhole, have metal bracket handles with spherical ends; the interior is pine. The tapered, splayed legs lighten the volume, in keeping with the lexicon of postwar Scandinavian modernism. Keys not included. Good condition. May show signs of wear. Please refer to the photographs carefully.
