The rectangular table has a solid top with a warm, rich grain and a straightforward, sturdy form. It is accompanied by six side chairs, each featuring a high back with distinctive carved and punched decorative patterns. The chair backs show scalloped upper edges and finely worked geometric and ornamental motifs cut into the wood, while the uprights are simply shaped and the seats are solid.
The overall character is robust and provincial, with a naturally aged surface that highlights the grain and the hand-worked details of the carving.
