Each chair is constructed from solid softwood with a shaped seat and a tall, simply profiled backrest featuring a central cut-out opening. The backs are gently curved and scalloped at the edges. The seats show natural grain, knots and an honest aged surface with visible wear consistent with long use. The tapered legs are splayed for stability.
The chairs retain a warm, time-worn softwood colour and the robust, unpretentious character typical of Alpine folk furniture from the turn of the 19th century.
Dimensions of each chair:
Height 90 cm
Seat height 48 cm
Width 50 cm
Depth 40 cm
