This listing is for a gorgeous antique French mantel clock.
This piece dates to the late 18th century (circa 1790) and was made in the Louis XVI style.
The casing is made from white and gray marble with gilt bronze accents.
The clock has a porcelain dial with gilt bronze hands and bezel.
The movement is an 8 day time/strike with silk thread.
The clock is in overall good condition. Some signs of normal wear and age present. Dial has some wear near the speed adjuster hole at top.
Some bead work along the base appears to have been repaired/replaced. Some beadwork along the right column edge is missing.
The movement was last serviced in 2023. It ran and chimed when recently tested.
This clock measures about 11 x 3.35 x 15 inches
