This elegant vintage statue features a serene depiction of Guanyin (Avalokitesvara), the Bodhisattva of Compassion, in a classic "Royal Ease" (lalitasana) seated posture. Crafted from solid copper with a rich gold plating, the figure is positioned upon a beautifully detailed double lotus base.
The Bodhisattva is shown with a tranquil, meditative expression, leaning gracefully with the right hand resting near the face. The figure is adorned with an elaborate crown and intricate jewelry, which are beautifully accented with colorful inlaid gemstones (turquoise and red tones) that add a vibrant contrast to the golden finish. The flowing robes are deeply folded, showcasing fine craftsmanship. This substantial and weighty piece is a captivating representation of Buddhist art, perfect for a collector or as a tranquil focal point in a meditation space or living area.
