This vibrant vintage statue features a classic Chinese motif: the "Galloping Horse Treading on a Flying Swallow" (Mǎ Tà Fēi Yàn). Crafted from copper using the traditional Cloisonné enamel technique, the horse is depicted mid-stride with one hoof gracefully resting on a swallow in flight.
The body of the horse is richly decorated with intricate floral and scrolling patterns in vivid shades of turquoise, red, pink, yellow, and green, set within gold wire outlines. The horse's mane, tail, legs, and the base swallow are finished in bright gold. The piece showcases exceptional craftsmanship, combining dynamic movement with meticulous detail. A striking decorative object that captures the spirit of traditional Asian art, perfect for display on a desk, shelf, or mantel.
