Add a romantic French touch to your space with this Louis XV style bench, a delicate settee with a low open-work back. The hand-carved frame is painted in soft celadon green and lavishly accented with hand-applied gold leaf. Twin arched, reeded rails rise to a sculpted crest of roses, acanthus leaves, and flowing garlands that frame a central oval cartouche. Gilded rose clusters and ribbon-tied scrolls decorate the sweeping arms, while a carved ribbon motif and gilded egg-and-dart molding adorn the reeded apron. The deeply button-tufted seat is upholstered in pale mint-green velvet and finished with braided trim in a matching tone. Sculpted cabriole legs with carved acanthus and scrolled feet complete the graceful silhouette.
