Charming antique English Victorian tabletop swing mirror, dating to the 19th century. Features a compact oval tilting mirror supported by beautifully turned wooden uprights with distinctive bobbin/reel detailing.
Purchased from an antique shop in Stow-on-the-Wold in the Cotswolds, England.
The dark wood has a beautiful warm patina developed with age. The mirror glass shows significant foxing, clouding and deterioration to the silvering, giving the piece lots of character.
