the set consists of:
1 teapot
1 milk jug
1 sugar bowl
8 teacups with their matching saucers.
as this is an artistic, handcrafted product, the floral decoration is entirely hand-painted in the quintessential "albisola 1925" style—an art deco aesthetic introduced from france by the renowned painter manlio trucco.

the ilsa manufactory (albisola): a brief history

the acronym i.l.s.a. Stands for *industria ligure stoviglie albisola* (founded by the perotti family in albisola capo).
• historical context: initially established for the production of everyday tableware and ceramics, the factory decided in 1928 to incorporate a dedicated artistic division, aligning itself with the wave of modern renewal that was transforming the historic kilns of albisola.
• artistic leadership: the manufactory reached a new level of quality under the guidance of distinguished masters. The first artistic director of the *novecento*-style ceramics division was the celebrated futurist ivos pacetti (from 1928 to 1932), who was succeeded in 1933 by another pivotal figure in italian design, nino strada.
pieces created by ilsa during this golden age are now historically significant and highly sought after by collectors; they have even been rediscovered and celebrated in major museum exhibitions dedicated to avant-garde ligurian ceramics.
