The Rolf Benz 6500 is one of the few German upholstered furniture pieces to have made it into the design collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. It was designed by Mathias Hoffmann in the 1980s. The stool consistently reflects the design language of the series: The soft leather upholstery rests on slender metal supports that terminate in two sturdy tubular legs. The white leather creates a striking contrast to the metal frame, giving the stool a light and airy appearance. Use it as a footrest in front of an armchair or sofa, as extra seating for guests, or as a standalone design object. Wherever it's placed, it adds an elegant, architectural touch.
