A French faux bamboo mirror from circa 1900, featuring a warm golden-toned wood frame accented by stylized turned finials extending from each corner. Compact in scale yet full of character, this petite wall mirror evokes the charm of late 19th- to early 20th-century design, when exotic influences such as bamboo were interpreted through European craftsmanship. The frame is detailed with lathe-turned rings and subtle patination, enhancing its antique appeal without overwhelming its simple lines.
The back shows age-consistent wear and retains its early board, further supporting the mirror’s period authenticity. It is fitted with a new hanging wire. This example measures 16.25 inches wide by 19.5 inches high and just 1 inch deep—ideal for adding a decorative touch to a powder room, hallway, or gallery wall. A fine addition to an eclectic, country house, or bohemian interior.
