Vintage Dutch Herring Cart – Decorative Market Stall with Hand-Painted Fish Design
Add a unique piece of maritime history to your interior or commercial space with this authentic vintage Dutch herring cart. This beautifully crafted market stall features a striking hand-painted fish design, including a large green fish display mounted beneath a classic canopy, making it an eye-catching decorative statement.
Originally inspired by traditional herring vendors in the Netherlands, this cart showcases charming details such as a painted wooden barrel, pricing signage, and a stylized fish illustration inside the cart. The text “Haringkar” and “Een maatje meer” reflects its heritage in Dutch fish markets, where fresh herring was sold from mobile stalls like this one.
Built with a sturdy metal frame, wooden panels, and large spoked wheels, this vintage cart combines durability with nostalgic appeal. The teal and sea-green color palette, along with hand-painted lettering, enhances its authentic maritime character.
