Its clean lines and balanced proportions make it a fine example of Mid-Century Modern lighting, with subtle Space Age influences that remain timeless today.

The lamp is composed of a broad, gently tapered shade in white and vivid orange, supported by a slender pedestal rising from a circular base.

Its design is defined by simple geometry rather than ornament, allowing the strong colour contrast and elegant proportions to become the main decorative features.

When illuminated, the white diffuser softens the light, while the orange section creates a warm visual glow that enhances the lamp's sculptural character.

The piece

This lamp reflects the optimism and experimentation that characterised much of the best European domestic lighting of the late mid-century period.

Rather than relying on decorative details, it achieves its visual impact through proportion, colour and form. The result is a design that remains remarkably contemporary decades after it was produced.

Where it works best

An ideal choice for a sideboard, console table, bedside cabinet or reading corner.

It works particularly well in Mid-Century Modern interiors but also complements contemporary spaces where a single statement piece introduces colour and sculptural interest.
