Antique, probably from the first half of the 20th century, circa 1930-1960. This large covered pot, traditionally called a jobbana and often used as a butter pot, has a substantial rounded body topped with a wide conical lid with a turquoise handle. The rich, stylized floral and vegetal decoration is arranged in reserves and painted in a beautiful palette of cobalt blue, turquoise, yellow, old rose, and brown on a white background. A very fine piece of Fez craftsmanship, particularly decorative and large in size.

28 cm high with the lid, 23 cm maximum diameter, 14.5 cm high for the pot alone. Very good overall condition, with no cracks or chips. Some wear to the glaze, particularly on the lid handle and the rim edges. Some minor irregularities and retouching of the decoration and glaze, likely due to the handcrafted nature of the piece or the firing process, are discreet and do not detract from its overall beautiful appearance. Approximately 2 kg. See less
